Letter Seven: This work is inspired by a line from André Gide’s novel Strait is the Gate: "I no longer wish to write to you. For I have finally realized that all our correspondence is but a grand illusion; each of us is merely writing to ourselves." I have also included this line asthe only content in the cabinet, serving as the conclusion and closing remark for all the previous "letters." Like boomerangs, each of these letters ultimately returns to me.
